Make soccer teams in three steps

Keeping games competitive

Fully random usually gives a fair match, but sometimes a draw lumps your best players onto one side. Two ways to fix it. Reroll for a fresh shuffle, or add those players to keep-apart so they land on opposite teams every time. A close game is a better game, and it takes ten seconds to set up.

If you rotate a squad through small-sided games, generate fresh teams each round so people play with and against different teammates.

Controls for pitchside

Two sides or many. Set two teams for a full match, or four to six for small-sided rotations.

Keep-apart for balance. Split up the two players who dominate together so the match stays even.
