      Break up cliques. Two students who turn every group task into a private chat? Add them to keep-apart and they’ll always land in different groups. Same for a pairing that tends to go off-task.

      Group size that fits the activity. Threes for a discussion, fours for a build, sixes for a station rotation. Set the size and the tool makes as many groups of that size as your class allows.

      Numbers mode for a quick sort. If your students already have register numbers, split 1 to 30 into groups without typing names at all.
